Money tree (aka Pachira) is a popular indoor plant that features several trunks braided together; it looks very lush and tropical. The large compound, hand-shaped leaves offer a topknot of bright green color and a lovely lush appearance. This treelike plant looks beautiful as a floor plant for your home or office. Outdoors, money tree can grow more than 50 feet tall, but stays much smaller indoors. Money tree can grow more than 10 feet tall over time.
Money tree is related to hibiscus and cocoa and comes from the swampy areas of Central and South America. It likes warm, humid conditions, and does well in average household conditions.
Reputed to bring good luck, this little tree is a favorite plant for applications of Feng Shui. Money tree is frequently used as a specimen for bonsai, as well, and can develop a fat, dense trunk.
